AMY PIPER, FREDONIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
“The Dragon Birthmark: World in the Shadows is an entertaining, thought-provoking book that takes the reader into the world of imagination and fantasy through the eyes of an 11-year old boy. Jennifer Phillips Russo captures the true feelings and imagination of a young boy through Giovani, the lead character. Giovani walks the reader through his adventures with the woodland characters and the integrated world of his “real life” and family and the world of his intended vision and mission. I have encouraged all of our fourth grade students to read this book, and my own family has thoroughly enjoyed the adventures of Giovani and his friends.”

“Great first book from a new author. My eight year old son got it two days ago and has not put it down. He gives it two big “Thumbs Up” and his third grade teacher is very impressed that he is reading a book that is geared for a slightly older crowd. Highly recommended.”

SCOTT “KEMPOSCOTT”
“Great first book from a new author. My eight year old son got the paperback version a few days ago and has not put it down. He gives it two big “Thumbs Up” and his third grade teacher is very impressed that he is reading a book that is geared for a slightly older crowd. He liked it so much that he took it to the school librarian to see if they would add it to their collection because he felt other kids would like it as much as he did. Highly recommended.”

DEBBIE
“This is a great book for middle-school aged children! It is filled with adventure and excitement they will enjoy…something they cannot put down!”

MARK DUNLAP “MARKHAWKS”
“This little gem can be enjoyed by all ages, on several different levels. Told primarily from the kid’s point of view, it is a wonderful adventure, with a few great themes/ lessons for kids inside. I found it absorbing, and hard to put down, once the action started.
It would also be a great one to read to kids, and participate in the adventures with them.
Overall, highly recommended.”
